«MRM» took part in Second Congress «Media-2009: Strategies for crisis management » organized by NAM

On May 20th the 2nd Congress "Media-2009: Strategies for crisis management» was held within the 15th  Kiev International TV and Radio Fair (May 18-21), the event was organized by NAM (Independent Association of Broadcasters). The basic theme of congress was to determine the tendencies set by economic downturn in the TV markets as well as other media, and also ways of coping with the situation.

Victoria Yarmoshchuk - deputy director of “Media Resources Management” - spoke at a second section of Congress, devoted to the questions of the TV schedules programming of the Ukrainian TV channels under the conditions of crisis. In her report, Victoria touched the issues of self production on Ukrainian TV, marked basic tendencies and conformities and outlined the forecasts.

Besides Victoria, in a section devoted to the programming issues of the TV channels, also spoke Sergey Nazarov - director on programming and acquisitions at TV channel «STB», as well as the representative of the Chernovtsy regional TV and Radio. Participants of the panel agreed that the current crisis time should serve as a stimulus for the mobilization of creative forces, to build barter relationship between regional television companies, and to stimulate own profitable production.
