On November 4, 2009 the Second annual ATC Conference took place in Brussels (Belgium). It was arranged by the body of commercial broadcasters of Europe and was dedicated to the 20-year anniversary of this organization. Its members believe that it coincides with establishment of the full-fledged commercial television in Europe.
Media Resources Management was the only Ukrainian company not involved in broadcasting that was invited to the event.
In the course of the one-day conference its participants discussed the hot issues of the European television industry, in particular the problems of cooperation between traditional television and the new media, the issues of piracy, legislative framework of the industry, establishment of the numerous niche channels etc. The reports at the conference were delivered by the top-managers of major European companies and corporations working at the television market: Mediaset, BSkyS, Microsoft, RTL Group, Canal+ and the others as well as the members of the European parliament responsible for the legislative initiatives in the media sphere.
In the course of the conference MRM conducted negotiations with its potential clients and partners. It also gathered some up-to-date information about the state of the European television market. See more details about the Conference at the Media Business Reports no. 45.
